In this database you will find MODIS ocean-color (OC) diurnal Level-2 files for a geographic subset covering the following coordinates in central-southern Chile: North −35.65481°, South −37.37082°, West −73.83132°, and East −72.49996°, an area that includes Station 18, the Gulf of Arauco, and Concepción Bay. Each file contains the variables aot_869, angstrom, Rrs_412, Rrs_443, Rrs_469, Rrs_488, Rrs_531, Rrs_547, Rrs_555, Rrs_645, Rrs_667, Rrs_678, chlor_a, Kd_490, pic, poc, ipar, nflh, par, and l2_flags.
Please extract the files corresponding to the specific date you need; you can either download them directly from Google Colab or download and upload them to your Google Drive account in order to process the data. It is also possible to process the data offline; you will need to install Python using Conda in your machine. Google Colab offers a free virtual machine with 16 GB of RAM, 100 GB of storage, and both CPU and GPU processing power, more than enough to analyze the data and perform complex computations.
